My local student support Connexions Direct thing rang me today, asking why I hadn't got my college application in, telling me that I'll be too late and may not get the courses I want, maybe not even get in.

The ironic thing is, I might not even get enough GCSEs to support me going to college anyway. I've really fucked up the past 2 years.

I'll be a bit disappointed if I don't get into college. Well, very disappointed.
I'm worried about if I don't, because my dad will kill me. My brother took a gap year between high school and college, and became a complete and utter lazy dick. He didn't do the best in his GCSEs either.
My parents expected me to do better than him.

I guess this is feeling pressured? It's taken long enough.

The fact is, if I don't get into college, then I'm doomed to about 15 more months of unhappiness and depression.
So..

I'm screwed, really.

My name is Alex and I feel I think differently to everybody else, and because of this I am socially inept. I have no sense in style or hair, which doesn't help that factor. I study psychology and have a tendency to manipulate or cold-read people to try and gain a better understanding of them.

Painting is an additive art. The artist adds to the canvas until they stop with their version of reality. Photography is subtractive art. First we throw away 90 percent then remove what is left bit by bit until we have only the reality we wish to show.
